Hunting songs have been a traditional part of our sport going back very many years and are normally sung during the evening’s entertainment after the day is over. In days gone by each pack would have had a song dedicated to them, however there were also those where individual hounds and even our quarry species, of the fox, deer, or hare were picked out for special recognition. There is a common misconception that it is only up in the Cumbrian Fells that these sing songs take place. Actually they are also very popular in many places across the country with beaglers being particularly keen to break into song after a traditional hunting tea. We hope you will enjoy the wide range of songs we have chosen for your pleasure.
