Every year during the last week in September it would appear that agriculture and the many different aspects of life in rural Nottinghamshire come alive for the benefit of all of us and what a pleasure it is to see. The timing comes naturally in the farming cycle, with harvest just about over and the land being prepared for next year’s crop. It is at that period in the year when there is much to celebrate which helps demonstrate that our way of life, even in the twenty first century has not lost its appeal. The fact is that farming is the very hub of everyday life and it is then that you will be able to witness just how important it and all the traditions of our countryside really are.
