This delightful blessing of the Grove and Rufford young Hounds took place at their Puppy Show in June of this year and was conducted by the former Bishop of Johannesburg and Portsmouth, the Right Rev Timothy Bavin:
Oh God, the origin of all creatures great and small, and who have entrusted us with slew and ship of your creation: bless these hounds, we pray, and all who have care of them, and bless too, those who follow them and their mounts; that, like Nimrod, they may rejoice to be hunters before the Lord, and so further your purposes for the world and all within it, now and forever. Amen
